Ahaziah of Israel אחזיהו מלך ישראל

king of Israel for two years; he sent to Baal-Zebub

Ahaziah reigned two years and held to the way of both his parents. He fell through the lattice of his upper chamber in Samaria and was injured; instead of turning to God he sent to enquire of Baal-Zebub, god of Ekron, whether he would recover.

Elijah met the messengers on the road and sent them back: "Is there no God in Israel, that you go to enquire of Baal-Zebub?" The king sent a company of fifty for the prophet, then a second; the third captain came with a plea, and Elijah went down to the king himself—to say the same to his face. Ahaziah died childless, and the throne passed to his brother Jehoram (2 Kings 1).
