Person
Rabbi Eliezer Horowitz of Dzikov רבי אליעזר הורוויץ מדזיקוב
founder of the Dzikov court; son of Rabbi Naftali Tzvi of Ropshitz
A son of Rabbi Naftali Tzvi of Ropshitz. He became rabbi of Dzikow in the 1840s, and was received as rebbe in 1848; from that the Dzikov court is counted.
The year of his birth is not reliably given by the sources, and we do not set it. He died on 3 Cheshvan 1860. His son Rabbi Meir, author of the Imrei Noam, took the court; other sons settled in Baranow and Rozwadow.
