Kamenetz קמניץ
A small town near Brest to which Rabbi Boruch Ber Leibowitz brought the Knesses Beis Yitzchok yeshiva after the wanderings of the war—and where it stood for thirteen years.
The yeshiva did not come here at once. Rabbi Boruch Ber took charge of Knesses Beis Yitzchok at Slabodka in 1904; the First World War drove it through Minsk, Kremenchug and Vilna, and only in 1926 did it settle at Kamenetz. For thirteen years students came here by the hundred.
In 1939, before the war, the yeshiva moved to a suburb of Vilna. There Rabbi Boruch Ber died, in Kislev 5700.
