Arakhin ערכין

A person may say "my valuation is for the Temple", and then payment is made not for him as for a slave but by the fixed scale in Leviticus. The tractate works through that scale, cases of poverty, the dedication of field and house, and the return of fields at the jubilee.

Here too is one of the best-known passages in the Talmud on evil speech: why the leper is put outside the camp and why the tongue is paid for with solitude. It became the foundation of all the later literature on the ban of lashon ha-ra.
