a tractate of the order of Kodashim
A poor person brought a pair of doves: one as a sin offering, the other as a burnt offering. And if the pairs of several women have been mixed up, and no one knows whose dove is which? The whole tractate is an unravelling of such tangles, and reads almost like a book of puzzles.
It ends with the words for which it is often opened: with the ignorant, the mind grows confused with age, while with those learned in Torah, the older they become the clearer their mind grows.
Order: Kodashim. There is no Gemara in either Talmud—the tractate remained mishnah.
