Meilah מעילה
a tractate of the order of Kodashim
Meilah is when a person has used Temple property as his own: worn it, eaten it, given it in payment. The Torah commands that the value be returned with a fifth added, and an offering brought. What marks it is that the sin is usually committed unknowingly.
The tractate works out from what moment a thing becomes subject to meilah and when it ceases to be, what counts as use, and how several people share the liability when a thing passes from hand to hand.
Order: Kodashim. There is Gemara in the Babylonian Talmud.
