Person
Rabbi Menachem Nachum Twersky of Tolna רבי מנחם נחום טברסקי מטולנא
the second rebbe of Tolna; he took the court as a boy
Grandson of Rabbi David of Tolna and son of Rabbi Mordechai. The sources do not give the year of his birth; it is known that he turned thirteen on the eighth day after his grandfather's death.
The direct male line in Tolna had broken: his father died in Rabbi David's lifetime, and Rabbi David had no other sons. He took the court and led it thirty-four years, from Tolna and from Tulchin.
He died on 19 Kislev 1915 and is buried in Kiev. After him three of his sons became rebbes, already in America.
