Rabbeinu Perez of Corbeil רבי פרץ בן אליהו מקורביל
the last great Tosafist of France
Son of the talmudist Elijah of Tours. He studied under Rabbi Yechiel of Paris, Shmuel of Évreux and Yaakov of Chinon; travelling through Brabant and Germany he met the Maharam of Rothenburg.
Besides the glosses on the Semak there are novellae of his on several tractates; his analysis of Bava Metzia survives in its original form. The sources give no year of birth; he died before 1298, probably in 1295.
