Mar Rav Avraham bar Sherira took Pumbedita in 4576 (816) and held it twelve years. The patronymic is worth noting: a century and a half later the same seat would go to Rav Sherira Gaon, by whose letter we know this whole chain.
Of the twelve years themselves nothing survives: no responsum, no incident, no dispute. Only a name, a patronymic and the years.
