Rav Kohen Tzedek bar Avimai took Sura in 4605 (845)—son of Rav Avimai, who had held the same seat thirty years earlier. After him the seat goes to Sar Shalom bar Boaz, who answered the communities more than a hundred times.
Between his father and Sar Shalom he stands as a name and a year: neither a responsum of his nor a tradition about him has come down.
