Rivam—Rabbi Isaac ben Meir רבי יצחק בן מאיר
the eldest of Rashi's grandsons, who died before his father
Son of Meir ben Shmuel and of Yocheved, Rashi's daughter. The printed Tosafot cite him, and so does Rabbi Eliezer ben Yoel ha-Levi; no book of his own stands in his name.
In the literature he is often confused with other Rabbi Yitzchaks of the same century, and he stands here separately on purpose: without him one cannot see why the headship of the school passed to the youngest brother.
