Hilkhot u-Minhagei Rabbenu Shalom is five hundred and forty-six sections on subjects that would later fall into the order of the Shulchan Aruch. The book was printed only in 1977: for five and a half centuries it went about in manuscript and in the reporting of students.
The Jewish Encyclopedia notes expressly that he was the first to receive the title moreinu. The yeshiva he founded at Wiener Neustadt passed afterwards to Rabbi Israel Isserlein and became one of the chief schools of Austria. The years are approximate: the encyclopedia gives none, the Encyclopaedia Judaica puts him at about 1350–1413.
