founder of the Amshinov court; the son of Rabbi Yitzchak of Vurka
The elder son of Rabbi Yitzchak of Vurka. After the father's death in 1848 the Vurka chasidim divided: some followed the younger brother who remained in Vurka, some followed him, and he settled in Amshinov (Mszczonów) near Warsaw.
He kept his father's manner unchanged: long prayer, a quiet voice, much time for each who came. The Amshinov court is to this day among those that do not hurry.
He died on 4 Kislev 1877; the court passed to his son, and after the Shoah gathered anew in Jerusalem and in America.
