The son of Rabbi Yechiel; he took the court in 1894.
Under him the Alexander house reached its full size: for the Sabbaths thousands gathered in the townlet, and the Lodz railway ran extra trains.
How he taught. Briefly and of plain things: of prayer, of joy, of a man not measuring himself by another’s measure. The records were gathered after his death into the Yismach Yisrael—the book he is named by.
He died on 27 Adar 1910.
