Yosef's dreams and the coat set his brothers against him; he is thrown into the pit and sold into Egypt. Yehuda and Tamar meet at the crossroads, and Tamar is vindicated by the pledge. In Egypt Yosef refuses his master's wife, is imprisoned, and interprets the dreams of the cupbearer and the baker.
