Rabbi Alter Yechezkel Eliyahu Horowitz of Dzikov רבי אלטער יחזקאל אליהו הורוויץ מדזיקוב

the fourth rebbe of Dzikov; he set up the Beit Dzikov yeshiva in Tarnow

He became rabbi of Dzikow in 1909, in the lifetime of his father, Rabbi Yehoshua. He was married to Chava, daughter of Rabbi Yisrael Hager of Vizhnitz.

In the First World War he left with his family for Vizhnitz, and on returning settled in Tarnow, where he set up the Beit Dzikov yeshiva. In 1926 he travelled to London.

He perished on 7 Adar 1943, when the Germans destroyed the Krakow ghetto. The year of his birth is given two ways—1884 and 1879. His son Rabbi Chaim Menachem David took the court.
