Rabbi Avraham Yaakov Friedman the Second of Sadigura רבי אברהם יעקב פרידמן השני מסאדיגורה

Born in Sadigura in 1884 to Rabbi Yisrael, the second rebbe of Sadigura, and named for his grandfather. After his father’s death in 1907 the court was led by two—he and his elder brother, Rabbi Aharon; after the brother’s death in 1913 he remained alone. Neither the father nor the brother is yet recorded in this reference.

Vienna. In the First World War the Sadigura court, like all the Ruzhin courts, went to Vienna and stood there for twenty years.

Tel Aviv. In 1938, months before the Anschluss, he moved to Eretz Yisrael and set up the court in Tel Aviv. He brought out what could be brought out of the house of Ruzhin: scrolls, silver, books. He died in Tel Aviv in 1961; the court was taken by his nephew, Rabbi Mordechai Shalom Yosef.
