Rabbi Baruch Safrin, the last rebbe of Komarno רבי ברוך ספרין מקומרנא
the fifth and last rebbe of Komarno; killed in Sambor on the second day of Shavuot
He was born in Stolin, among his mother's kin; after the death of his father, Rabbi Shalom, in 1937 he took both the court and the Binyan Shalom yeshiva.
In the war he was with the community in the ghetto. He was offered a way out, and answered that while there is one Jew left in the ghetto he will not leave it. He was killed in the cemetery of Sambor on 7 Sivan 1943, the second day of Shavuot.
With him the court of Komarno in Komarno itself came to an end.
