The son of Rabbi Shlomo; he took the court in 1905.
Schools. His father’s yeshiva he turned into a network: by the end of the thirties Bobov schools stood in dozens of towns across western Galicia, and a whole generation passed through them. He composed nigunim himself, and the Bobov melodies are sung to this day—known even to those who know nothing of the court.
1941. After the German invasion he found himself in Lvov. In Tammuz 1941 he was taken with his son and sons-in-law to the Janowska woods near Lvov and shot. Of the whole family one son survived, Rabbi Shlomo—and he gathered Bobov anew in America.
His teachings were published by the survivors under the name Kedushas Zion.
