The Damesek Eliezer—Rabbi Eliezer Tzvi Safrin of Komarno רבי אליעזר צבי ספרין מקומרנא — דמשק אליעזר

the second rebbe of Komarno; author of the Damesek Eliezer, a commentary on the Zohar

Son of Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Safrin, the Heichal ha-Berachah. He took the court after his father's death in 1874 and led it twenty-four years.

His chief book is the Damesek Eliezer, a commentary on the Zohar; he has also the Ben Beiti on the Torah, the Megillot and the Psalms, the Zekan Beito on Avot, and the Or Einayim, a key to kabbalah.

He died on 24 Iyar 1898. His son Rabbi Yaakov Moshe took the court.
