The Divrei Emunah—Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Kohn of Toldos Aharon רבי אברהם יצחק כהן—דברי אמונה

founder of the Toldos Aharon court; son-in-law of Rabbi Aharon Roth

He was born on 6 Tevet 1914 in Safed; as a child he was taken to Hungary. In 1939 he married Yenta, daughter of Rabbi Aharon Roth, and in 1940 came with his father-in-law to Erets Yisrael.

After his father-in-law's death in 1947 most of the chasidim followed him, and he named the court Toldos Aharon—after his father-in-law. He led it about fifty years from Meah Shearim; under him the court set up a quarter in Beit Shemesh.

His books are the Divrei Emunah, the Asifat Michtavim and the Kuntres Kavanat ha-Tefillah. He died on 27 Kislev 1996, on the third light of Chanukah.
