The Seer of Lublin החוזה מלובלין

Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak Horowitz studied under Elimelech of Lizhensk and, after his teacher's death, gathered the most crowded court in Poland. The name Chozeh, the Seer, was given him because, as the Hasidim told it, he saw what was hidden; those accounts were recorded by disciples and passed on orally.

Out of his house came Rabbi Yisrael of Kozhnitz, the Holy Jew of Peshischa, the Yismach Moshe—founder of the Sighet-Satmar dynasty—and Sar Shalom of Belz. Yet within the court there was a dispute: some disciples, led by the Holy Jew, were weary of the crowds and the wonders and turned toward study and inner work—the beginning of the Peshischa line, from which Kotzk and Ger would later grow.
