Rabbi Moshe of Zvhil רבי משה מזוועהיל

founder of the Zvhil court; son of the Maggid of Zlotchov

Son of Rabbi Yechiel Michel, the Maggid of Zlotchov. He studied under Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev, Rabbi Mordechai of Neskhiz and the Chozeh of Lublin.

He settled in Zvhil—Novohrad-Volynskyi—and from him the Zvhil court is counted. The year of his birth is not given by the sources, and we do not set it. He left no books of his own; in his lifetime his approbation to the Ketzot ha-Choshen was printed.

He died on 10 Iyar 1831. His son Rabbi Yechiel Michl took the court.
