Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh Halberstam of Rudnik רבי צבי הירש הלברשטאם מרודניק
rabbi of Nisko and of Rudnik; father of the Sanz-Klausenburg rebbe
Son of Rabbi Baruch of Gorlice and grandson of Rabbi Chaim of Sanz. For about ten years he was rabbi of Nisko, and then for a quarter of a century rabbi and head of the court of Rudnik.
In the First World War he moved to Kisvarda. He died on 15 Av 1918 and is buried in Gorlice.
His son Rabbi Yekutiel Yehuda set up the Sanz-Klausenburg court after the Shoah—so the house of Sanz came back to life through Gorlice and Rudnik.
