The Divrei Baruch—Rabbi Baruch Halberstam of Gorlice רבי ברוך הלברשטאם מגורליץ — דברי ברוך
founder of the Gorlice court; son of Rabbi Chaim of Sanz
Son of Rabbi Chaim Halberstam of Sanz, the Divrei Chaim, and brother of the Shinover rebbe. He was married to a daughter of Rabbi Yekutiel Teitelbaum and in 1856 settled in Gorlice, succeeding his father-in-law; for about thirty years he was also rabbi of Rudnik, and then returned to Gorlice and was confirmed as its rabbi.
His book is the Divrei Baruch. He died on 1 Adar 1906. The year of his birth is given two ways: 1829 and about 1826.
His house went out in branches: Rabbi Elisha stayed in Gorlice, Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh settled in Rudnik and from him came the Sanz-Klausenburg court; other sons settled in Bardejov, Nisko and Zmigrod.
