Rabbi Hanina of Sepphoris רבי חנניה דציפורין
he yielded his place to his teacher and went to Babylonia
He finished his studies under Mana and little by little became his equal: they discussed questions as fellow students, not as teacher and pupil.
In Babylonia he became a source of knowledge about the Land of Israel for Rav Ashi—through such men the learning of one country passed into another. His daughter married Ravina's son.
