Rabbi Moshe of Kobrin רבי משה מקוברין
founder of the Kobrin court; disciple of Lechovitch
He was born in 1784 in the village of Piesk near Kobrin. He studied under Rabbi Mordechai of Lechovitch, and after his death under his son Rabbi Noach.
When Rabbi Noach died in 1832 most of the Lechovitch chasidim followed him, and from 1833 the court stood in Kobrin. His teaching is of work upon oneself before any wonder; his sayings are gathered in the Imrot Tehorot, published long afterwards.
He died on 29 Nisan 1858. After him the chasidim divided again: some followed Rabbi Avraham of Slonim, some stayed with his grandson Rabbi Noach Naftali.
