the second rebbe of Shinova; son of the Divrei Yechezkel

Son of Rabbi Yechezkel Shraga Halberstam, the Divrei Yechezkel, and grandson of Rabbi Chaim of Sanz. After his father's death in 1898 he took the Shinova court.

Some years later he moved to Sanz and led the court from there, while still being called the Shinover rebbe. He died on 12 Cheshvan 1918.

His sons held the Shinova title further: Rabbi Aryeh Leibish Mordechai and Rabbi Yekutiel Yehuda in Sanz, Rabbi Yechezkel Shraga in Shinova itself. The two younger ones perished in the Shoah.
