Rabbi Yaakov Chaim Perlow, the Stolin rebbe in America רבי יעקב חיים פרלוב
a son of the Yanuka; he led the Stolin chasidim in New York and Detroit
Son of the Yanuka. He lived in Williamsburg in New York and kept three houses of study there, while to Detroit he came once a year for some three weeks—whence he was called the Detroit rebbe.
The year of his birth is not reliably given: the single reading is chronologically impossible, and we do not set it. He is known also for melodies he composed himself.
He died on 6 Iyar 1946 in Detroit, suddenly, before the afternoon prayer; he had no children.
