The son of Rabbi Yosef, named for his great-grandfather Rabbi Yaakov David, founder of the Amshinov court. He took the court after his father's death and was the last Amshinov rebbe in Amshinov itself.
He perished in the Warsaw ghetto in 1942. The day and the circumstances are not given by the sources. The Amshinov house survived through the Otwock branch and gathered anew in Jerusalem and in America.
