Rabbi Yosef Kalish of Amshinov רבי יוסף קאליש מאמשינוב
the third rebbe of Amshinov; before that rabbi of Ostrow
The elder son of Rabbi Menachem of Amshinov. He was rabbi in Ostrow, and after his father's death in 1917 took the Amshinov court and led it for eighteen years.
In his time the house already stood in two branches: he held Amshinov, his younger brother Otwock. The order of succession between the brothers the sources do not settle, and we do not settle it for them.
He died on 3 Shevat; the year is given two ways—1935 and 1936. He is buried in Warsaw, in his father's ohel. His son Rabbi Yaakov David, named for his great-grandfather, took the court.
