His father was Rabbi Yitzchak Eizik Weiss, the Chakal Yitzchak. The year of his birth is not given by the sources, and we do not set it.
He perished on 29 Iyar 1944, some days before his father, when the Germans deported the Jews of Maramures.
His son Rabbi Yaakov Yosef survived the war and gathered the Spinka court anew.
