the youngest son of the Yanuka; he gathered the Karlin-Stolin house anew after the Shoah
The youngest of the Yanuka's ten children. Before the war he was rebbe in Lutsk in Volhynia, and set up yeshivas in Lutsk and in Praga in Warsaw.
In 1941 he went east; the war years he lived in Frunze, where his wife and eldest daughter died. In the spring of 1946 he came with his daughter to Haifa and began gathering the Karlin chasidim in Jerusalem, Tiberias and Tel Aviv; in 1948 he moved to America, to Williamsburg, and joined under himself the surviving branches of the house.
He died on 21 Kislev 1955. He was buried in America by lot—the chasidim of the two countries could not agree—and about a year and a half later he was moved to the old cemetery of Tiberias.
