a disciple of the Chozeh of Lublin; the teacher of the Tiferes Shlomo

A disciple of the Chozeh of Lublin. He served as rabbi in Stopnica and then in Apta—the same town where the court of the Apter Rov, Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heschel, still stood; the two are different men, and each has his own record in this reference.

The book. The Or LaShamayim—teachings on the portions of the Torah, published after his death; by it he is named.

A student. Rabbi Shlomo of Radomsk, the Tiferes Shlomo, studied under him—and through him the line of the Chozeh reached Radomsk.

He died on 25 Iyar 1831.
